courseThis year our start direction has been reversed, it begins with a quick downward sloping dual track that winds its way to the bottom of the property. Crossing a dam wall new singletrack climbs a short sharp hill onto a water race and then through an old dam. It drops through a quick set of fresh berms before linking with a long section of singletrail which formed the latter sections of last year’s enduro. Halfway through the lap riders will pass through the transition area and climb ( shortish ) onto a twisty descent . New trail at the bottom of this hill links with a short climb before a bumpy ( read technical ) drop. Dual track gives some respite before a climb back towards transition. The last km of the course includes the A/B Line drop. No rocks have been removed for this event! Rain will not overly effect this course as 12 years of drought has made it dry as a chip. Dust was a plenty last weekend despite rain the week before. Jake recommends “knarly” tyres such as Continental Verticals and Mountain Kings . |
course openThe track will be open for practice from 2pm – 4pm on Saturday 22nd August 2009. |
