ENDURO UPDATE -  SUNDAY 16 AUGUST

Less than one week to go!  At this stage, the weather forecast is looking like it will fine up for next weekend – hopefully similar to the past few years – a little frosty overnight and clear days. The Theatre Royal is on the move to Jubber Land for the weekend and bringing with them DJ Lord Lingham (PBS FM) from 10am - 3pm to be trackside Sunday! Check out the Theatre Royal’s Enduro Menu below.

Short course racing (from 4.30 Saturday) will comprise a “Poker Race” – in pairs you take it in turns to race around the short track, and getting a playing card at the end of each lap. Team with the best poker hand wins! Registration on Saturday Afternoon.

Symes Motors Bendigo join Continental Tyres and Commencal has the main event sponsors. course

This year our start direction has been reversed, it begins with a quick downward sloping dual track that winds its way to the bottom of the property. Crossing a dam wall new singletrack climbs a short sharp hill onto a water race and then through an old dam. It drops through a quick set of fresh berms before linking with a long section of singletrail which formed the latter sections of last year’s enduro. Halfway through the lap riders will pass through the transition area and climb ( shortish ) onto a twisty descent . New trail at the bottom of this hill links with a short climb before a bumpy ( read technical ) drop. Dual track gives some respite before a climb back towards transition. The last km of the course includes the A/B Line drop. No rocks have been removed for this event! Rain will not overly effect this course as 12 years of drought has made it dry as a chip. Dust was a plenty last weekend despite rain the week before.

Jake recommends “knarly” tyres such as Continental Verticals and Mountain Kings .
